Verrazano Builders and Contractors Incorporated was started in 1975 as a small carpentry and general contracting firm focusing primarily on residential building and renovation projects.  As time went on and the company grew, their focus in the construction industry shifted to larger projects with emphasis on commercial work including concrete construction, trucking and hauling, and the supply of all types of aggregate materials. 

      Since 1975, Verrazano Builders and Contractors have established themselves as one of the most respected names in the construction industry.  Verrazano is a name synonymous with excellence and unsurpassed professionalism.  Well known for our commitment to quality, schedule and budget, Verrazano strives to meet every customer’s needs and challenges in a professional and timely manner. 

          In order to continue growing and meet the challenges our industry faces every day, Verrazano Builders and Contractors expanded and incorporated in 1993.  Serving the commercial and industrial market since early on, the company now has a division that focuses specifically on tenant-fit out, retail and restaurant construction that specializes in center city projects.

       Verrazano Builders and Contractors still self performs with their own in-house work forces when it makes the most sense economically and logistically for ourselves and our client.  Joint ventures and subcontracting have been utilized on past projects, utilizing the finest tradesmen available, thus assuring our client the best product and the best bottom line.

        In 1996, Verrazano Builders and Contractors became certified as a disadvantaged business enterprise by the City of Philadelphia, specifically as a disadvantaged disabled contractor.

    The company routinely performs general construction and construction management services.  Projects ranging in size from $10,000.00 to $1.5 million have been completed.  Verrazano Builders and Contractors has worked on many of the City of Philadelphia projects including the Philadelphia International Airport, US Airways and Atlantic Aviation.  Additionally they have completed retail projects in most malls and large scale shopping centers along the East Coast and Mid-West Region of the United States.

   Verrazano Builders and Contractors have maintained a steady increase in sales year after year. For fiscal year ending December 2002, our company approached just less than five million dollars in work completed.
